Join us for an educational forum on the bail and pretrial system in Maryland at the main Library in Cambridge on March 24, 2019.  We will cover the findings of a two-year study conducted by the LWV of Maryland on bail reform and how local jurisdictions have changed over the past few years.  At the end of the presentation, League members will consider a set of questions about bail and the pretrial system to determine if there is consensus on each question.  While only League members can participate in the consensus part of the meeting, the findings of the study offer much to consider in terms of how the criminal justice system operates today.
