The League of Women Voters of the Mid-Shore

What Is The League?

The League of Women Voters of the Mid-Shore of Maryland (LWVMS) is a local branch of the League of Women Voters of Maryland and the League of Women Voters of the United States. We are a non-partisan, multi-issue, grassroots organization whose mission is to encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in local, state, and federal government and to influence public policy through education and advocacy. The League is committed to community issues at every level of government. We encourage anyone of voting age to join us!

What Does the LWVMS Do?

  • Educates citizens about issues, candidates, and the political process
  • Monitors government activities
  • Registers voters
  • Sponsors public issue forums
  • Encourages participation in federal, state, and local decisions
  • Establishes positions on public policy through grassroots member participation and agreement
  • Advocates League grassroots positions

    We are honored to have Nikki Charlson, Deputy Administrator of the Maryland State Board of Elections, present to residents of the Eastern Shore "How Maryland Secures Its Elections Systems."  Join us to learn the latest on the security of our state elections.  We hope you will show your support of this important topic by joining us on April 25.

    RSVP before April 17.  You may attend both the luncheon and presentation or only the presentation.  To RSVP for the presentation only, reserve your seat by leaving a message at (703) 966-7660 or emailing your name, phone number, email address, and the number of people attending the presentation to LZelinski@lwvmd.org.
