What Is The League?

The League of Women Voters of the Mid-Shore of Maryland (LWVMS) is a local branch of the League of Women Voters of Maryland and the League of Women Voters of the United States. We are a non-partisan, multi-issue, grassroots organization whose mission is to encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in local, state, and federal government and to influence public policy through education and advocacy. The League is committed to community issues at every level of government. We encourage anyone of voting age to join us!

What Does the LWVMS Do?

  • Educates citizens about issues, candidates, and the political process
  • Monitors government activities
  • Registers voters
  • Sponsors public issue forums
  • Encourages participation in federal, state, and local decisions
  • Establishes positions on public policy through grassroots member participation and agreement
  • Advocates League grassroots positions

    Nov 3 Presidential General Election

    Maryland has started mailing out ballots for the Nov 3, 2020 Presidential General Election.  See our Voters' Guides for Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot Counties for information about candidates, ballot questions, and where to cast your ballot. 

    If you have a mail-in ballot, you can NOW mail it back or drop it in your local drop-box. Or you can deliver it to a vote center in your county during Early Voting (Oct 26 - Nov 2) or on Election Day (Nov 3),  7 am - 8 pm

    Don't have a mail-in ballot? You have until Oct 20 to apply for one! 

    Want to vote in person? Vote in your county during Early Voting (Oct 26 - Nov 2) or on Election Day (Nov 3),  7 am - 8 pm

    Aren't registered to vote?  You have until Tuesday, Oct 13 to register!

    Your vote is your voice; use it.  VOTE!
